October was a milestone month for us as we exhibited at the 140th Canton Fair in Guangzhou. Held from October 15 to November 4, this edition marked the fair’s 70th anniversary and attracted record-breaking participation, with over 32,000 exhibitors and approximately 340,000 overseas buyers expected across all three phases . For our team, the experience was not just about showcasing products—it was about validating our direction, deepening relationships, and capturing the momentum of global trade recovery.
The Harvest: Quality Leads and Real Conversations
The most immediate takeaway from October was the shift in buyer behavior. Unlike previous editions where many visitors browsed casually, this year’s attendees arrived with clear intent. Buyers watched demonstrations, asked technical questions, and moved quickly to pricing and sampling . We observed this firsthand at our booth: conversations were shorter but far more substantive, with several visitors returning on multiple days to negotiate terms. The fair’s overall data supports this—by October 27, 278,000 overseas buyers from 218 countries and regions had attended, a 13.4% increase over the previous session . For us, this translated into a strong pipeline of qualified leads and several on-site sample orders, particularly from buyers in Europe and the Middle East.
Innovation as the Common Language
Walking the halls, one theme was unmistakable: innovation and sustainability were not buzzwords but baseline expectations. Products featuring new materials, green technology, and smart features made up a significant share of exhibits—new products accounted for 23.2% and green products for 26% of the total, both record highs . At our own booth, visitors showed heightened interest in our latest designs and integrated solutions. A French buyer we spoke with echoed a sentiment we heard repeatedly: “We come to Canton Fair not just to source, but to see where the market is heading” . This feedback reinforced our commitment to R&D and helped us identify which product lines resonated most strongly with international buyers.
Connections Beyond the Booth
Beyond the exhibition floor, the fair’s supporting programs added unexpected value. The ‘Trade Bridge’ matchmaking sessions and the new ‘Exhibition + Overseas Live Streaming’ format extended our reach to buyers who could not travel to Guangzhou . We also benefited from informal conversations during the evening networking events along the Pearl River—moments that rarely happen over email. One connection made during a post-show dinner has already evolved into a factory visit scheduled for December. For us, October was a reminder that trade fairs still matter because trust is built in person.
Our VLOG: A Week in 3 Minutes
To capture the energy of the month, we filmed a short VLOG that takes you behind the scenes of our Canton Fair experience. The video follows our team from the pre-show booth setup to the final day of breakdown. You will see the morning rush as buyers arrive, the live product demos that drew crowds, and the quieter moments—coffee-fueled strategy huddles, impromptu meetings with old partners, and the exhaustion mixed with satisfaction on the last night.

Looking Ahead
October’s Canton Fair confirmed that demand for well-designed, responsibly made products remains strong. The buyers we met were not looking for the cheapest option; they were looking for the right partner. As we follow up on leads, schedule factory visits, and refine our product roadmap based on what we learned, we carry with us a clearer sense of where we stand and where we need to go. To everyone who visited our booth, asked tough questions, and shared their perspectives—thank you. The conversations have just begun.
